Campbell Monument began its journey in the late 1800s when John Campbell began working at Moore Monuments in Stirling, Ontario. In 1907 John left Stirling and opened his own monument business, Trenton Marble Works in 1909, to be eventually renamed Campbell & Sons Monuments. John's son Arnold Clifton Campbell became a partner in the business around 1922 and then left the business at 30 years of age in 1931 when he opened his own business, Campbell Monument, at 21 Bridge Street in Belleville, Ontario. In 1951 A.C. Campbell's son, William (Bill), joined the family business and took over operations as owner in 1958. In 1984 the company was then sold to the employees and has been an employee-run business since. Campbell Monument remained at the Bridge Street address until 1989 when it was then relocated to our present address at 712 Dundas Street West in Belleville, Ontario.
In 2009 we celebrated our 100th Anniversary and with sales showrooms, in Belleville, Pembroke, Lindsay, Cobourg and Port Hope we continue to be the leading provider of monuments in Hastings County and beyond.
